A while ago I decided that I would not review X-Men first class for my blog; I would just go in and enjoy it (or not) based on its merits. In that light, I refer you to my comment on the Man I Love Films to sum up my thoughts on my experience seeing the film.
If you have seen the film, what do you think?

Hi Luv (I hope you don’t mind me calling you this :D) I enjoyed it a lot, but then again I felt like I was predisposed to liking this as I like the X-Men franchise and the fact that the story focuses on my favorite X-Men characters, Xavier and Magneto.
I haven’t got my own review up yet but since I watched X-2 over the weekend as well, I might do a ‘Musings’ post about the franchise instead of a review.

No worries Ruth 🙂 Luv is fine …
My Fassbender bias is the main reason for my not writing a review.
I am simply going to post responses to reviews for now 🙂
Fassbender was clearly my favorite part of the movie and he did a great job. Character wise I like how it delved further into what makes Erik/Magneto tick and we get to the point where he is what he is in X1, X2, and X3.

Hoping to see this soon, I had no interest from the trailers but obviously, the word of mouth is very positive.

@Castor one of my brothers said the same thing. He started reading more about it and got kind of hyped. He will be seeing it this weekend.

Well I didn’t like it very much. =) To me its a hack job compared to the other X-men films.
If you want a ranty spoiler fest on the film feel free to visit my review/anlysis on it: http://www.joelburman.com/2011/06/x-men-class/
