Sunday Night Rundown

Another week is upon us so I decided to take a look back at the week that was (notice not too many Oscar mentions – I think we have all had out fill of that).

Like I did last Monday, here are a collection of articles and other bits that I have seen around the web that I thought some of my readers might be interested in.

1. SUNDANCE 2012 COMES TO A CLOSE

The list is too long to put together is a single post so I respectfully defer to the Sundance Press Office for the full list of award winners of the festival.

2. THE GREY STRIKES GOLD

Liam Neeson’s latest action-adventure outing, The Grey, topped the box office this weekend with an estimated $20 million in receipts.

(A VIDEO BONUS): THAT SPEECH FROM TAKEN

Liam Neeson is a great sport:

3. OUCH!

In his review of One for the Money, Ramin Setoodeh of Newsweek Magazine asks who are Katherine Heigl’s fans?

4. OSCAR ROUNDTABLE 2012

Very entertaining panel this year; but a little off on its prediction (3/6 to be exact) of who would be in contention for the original Golden Boy of Hollywood.

5. TERMINATOR-R?

For those who care, Terminator 5 will be rated-R.

6. THE OLD TEAM IS BACK TOGETHER

After the winning Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Edgar Wright and Co. are teasing fans with a Twitter pic of the project they are working on.

7. MEET THE MOMS 🙂

Check out the gallery of mums-to-be for the upcoming film What to Expect When You are Expecting.

Have a great week everyone!

He seems well grounded and pragmatic about his fame and celebrity …

Are those celebrity Moms actually pregnant? I saw Graham Norton on Friday night (my wife loves it) it was hilarious, he is so funny (when he manages to keeps it clean). I thought that was a great combo of guests, I like the way he chats to them all at the same time. The Grey looks a bit rubbish if I’m honest but I like that Liam can laugh at himself, let’s face it, if you do a film like Taken, you need to be able to laugh at yourself!

Yeah he does not take himself seriously – which is a really good thing. The interview was so funny – especially the bit when he was talking about how he thought Taken was going straight to DVD.

Alan Davies was rather funny as well. A lot of us over here do not know who he is; I know he does TV stuff in the UK but I mainly know him from the clips of Stephen Fry’s QI that I have seen on YouTube.

Oh and the women are not really pregnant – it’s just for the movie.

I remember you mentioning ‘What to Expect When You are Expecting’ on my post a while ago. Oh my, with such a cast (well apart from the talented Anna Kendrick) I would avoid it at all cost.

I hear you on that. It looks like they are really trying to promote this one. I suppose the target demo are expectant to new moms. We’ll see in may when the box office rolls in …

Elizabeth Banks and Anna Kendrick are the only slightly realistic looking expectant moms.
