I guess it is supposed to signify the potential ‘inhumanity’?

Well, it’s better than that awful teaser at least 🙂

I read the book and I like it- it’s pretty boring and hard to get through the first 20-30 pages, but the pace fastens after a while and it gets really interesting!
The eye is omnipresent because it’s part of the story- I don’t know how to explain it corectly- just read a more developed plot summary on wikipedia or IMDb if you’re interested 🙂
The cast is good, but I would have switched the two male leads between eachother- they seem perfect for the other’s role, which is weird!

The caliber of the film’s cast is certainly better than the drippy Twilight franchise leads. Hopefully that will be enough to make this film an interesting watch.
