Today, the Time Magazine released its 100 Most Influential People in the World list. While these lists are principally qualitative, it is interesting to see who are considered key influencers in politics, culture and the world at large.
This year’s list includes several people from the world of film, including:

- Jessica Chastain, Oscar™-nominated actress
- Asghar Farhadi, Director of Oscar™-winning film A Separation

- Harvey Weinstein, Film producer
- Tilda Swinton, Oscar™-winning actress
- Claire Danes, Actress

Interesting. Had to click on a couple to see why the hell they would be considered so influential at this time. I totally forgot Danes was in Homeland so I was thinking ‘what has she done recently?’

Pete it was a toss-up for me as whether or not to include her because the reason for being on the list was TV-related. But in the end, she is an actress of acclaim in both media.
