At the time of this writing, there are no RT “Certified Fresh” picks of the films released this weekend. Of the four that I mention, I would say Chimpanzee, Marley and possibly Think Like a Man are safe bets. As you can imagine I do not expect any of these titles to set the weekend box office receipts ablaze – in other words, The Hunger Games will hold tight in top position.
As for my personal cinema-viewing, I will be swamped with the various events surrounding the TFF; I hope to update my goings-on with frequent photos and tweets. It all kicks off tomorrow with a few films followed by an evening screening (not TFF-related) of repertory cinema (Annie Hall). The evening is billed as a “date night” event, but alas, I go alone 🙁
So what are you all up to this weekend? Whatever it is, may I wish you happy viewing!

Cannot wait to see Marley. Marley seems like a very interesting guy and Macdonald is one of my favourite documentary makers.

I replied to Scott’s comment before reading yours Marley definitely has the fact that Kevin Macdonald is behind it as a major plus. Looking at his CV I would like to see One Day in September as I am more familiar with his feature filmography (which is of course much smaller).

I honestly don’t know too much about the film per se. I have seen bios of Marley before; it will be interesting to see what this version brings to it.

I’m saving up to see all of the incredible movies in May and June, since I’m pretty sure Prometheus will ruin me and I will have to see it many times in the cinema 🙂

Well, I didn’t go to the cinema and not really interested in any of these. I did see a very good classic I’ve been meaning to check out for a while.

One of my bros saw Think Like a Man with his wife; they said they liked it. That’s cool. But if I did not see it opening weekend, I am likely not to see it at all although the pickings in the cinema this past weekend were pretty bad.

Think like a man is going to be the best comedy I’ve ever seen in my life, so waiting for it.
