Weekend Releases

Let’s start looking at this weekend’s releases with the ‘certified fresh‘ (as of the time of this writing) …

PIRATES: BAND OF MISFITS

THE RAVEN

Really? Cusack as Poe? Guess we will have to wait and see …

SAFE

It’s Statham … therefore it is probably fun.

FIVE YEAR ENGAGEMENT

BERNIE

Will lightning strike twice with duo of Linklater/Black

SOUND OF MY VOICE

One film in particular caught my interest on the weekend release list, Elles will feature on iluvcinema next week in the form of one of my recaps.

As for me, I will work on the writing for my recaps and I may go see Think Like a Man. Besides that I am going to try to recover from the past couple of weeks and to prepare for the start of SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER SEASON (starting with The Avengers).

How’s about you all? Any particular plans for this weekend?

Statham ain’t enough to get me in the cinema. Bernie sounds interesting and Linklater is one of my favourite directors so hopefully him and Black have done it again! Five Year Engagement also looks cool. I hope Bernie even gets a good wide release here!

Delightful movies I must say! Shocks. I think I haven’t watched a movie in the cinema for a while now. I might refresh my cinema moments with Five Year Engagement and Safe. I think it will be so much fun. Thanks!

My fiance and I made a deal back in February that if I saw Big Miracle, she would go see PIRATES: BAND OF MISFITS with me when it came out. Well tonight is that night and I will relish in my movie.

Safe actually looks fairly promising to me. It’s not released for a few weeks – think I might want to check it out though.

I’m most curious about The Raven but doesn’t look like I’ll have time this weekend to see it. Cusack sounds like he’s a big fan of Poe so we’ll see how he does portraying him.

I was a bit turned off by the trailer. The concept of the narrative looks rather interesting though.

Yea, no interest in any of these movies so I watched Brick and Miss Bala at home instead! Saving my money for The Avengers next week I guess 😀

Yeah I was at Think Like a Man this weekend and looking at the prices for tickets made my heart sink that much. You really do have to save up for a film nowadays!
