Clips and Other Bits

Instead of creating separate posts for some of the new material that came out in the past few days, I have decided to combine into one.

RUBY SPARKS

New Photos:

SYNOPSIS

In RUBY SPARKS, Calvin (Paul Dano) is a young novelist who achieved phenomenal success early in his career but is now struggling with his writing — as well as his romantic life. Finally, he makes a breakthrough and creates a character named Ruby who inspires him.  When Calvin finds Ruby (Zoe Kazan), in the flesh, sitting on his couch about a week later, he is completely flabbergasted that his words have turned into a living, breathing person.

I’ve been keeping an eye on Paul Dano since There Will Be Blood, he’s so good.

Gatsby looks gorgeous, and the actors fit – especially Tobey, as soon as I so him in the trailer I was like wow, that makes sense! – but I hope they can get that depth/superficiality paradox across properly. I trust Baz, but I just don’t get that feeling from the trailer!

Skyfall looks seriously cool, all those amazing brits… it’s nice to see an action/thriller with such great actors to support it.

I don’t know about the amazing spider-man… but Rhys Ifans is pretty awesome, so I guess it will be worth it, no matter what.

Gatsby has definitely been a challenge to bring to the screen.

LOVE Skyfall. As for Gatsby, well generally I like it, but I have my extensive reaction post to it up for later this week.
