Here are a few of the films that are scheduled for release today:
- The Watch
- Step Up Revolution
- Killer Joe
- Ruby Sparks
In all likelihood, I will be staying away from the cinema (yet I STILL need to get to Beasts of the Southern Wild!). And since I love sport(s) and I love London , this weekend is all about the start of the Olympics for me anyway; it gets a cinematic launch, courtesy of Mr. Danny Boyle and his Opening Ceremony!
In between, I expect to get through the last episode and a half The Shadow Line and get started on my “mission catch-up” with The Walking Dead on Netflix.
What will you be watching this weekend?
Are you excited about the Olympics?

See, I’m a bit curmodgeony about the Olympics. It’s been messing up my morning and evening commutes and general all around blah-ness in London! Saying that, I will be tuning into the opening ceremony tonight. Albeit with my laptop on my lap and my mind somewhat elsewhere. But i will try and pay attention.
No time for cinema this weekend, all about getting some work done sadly!

I finally caught The Dark Knight Rises last night. Not sure if I will be hitting the cinema again this weekend, though I am considering catching something from the ongoing French Film Festival that’s in town.

That sounds really cool (French Film Fest)

Hi, iluv and company:
Didn’t get to the theaters, but I did get a massive cinema fix taken care of. Thursday night, TCM was devoted to films featuring Ernest Borgnine. Caught ‘Marty’, ‘From Here to Eternity’ and ‘The Wild Bunch’. Excellent delivery of ranges between the films!
Friday night I saw ‘Dick Tracy’. More for the three color pallet contrasts and criminals in their excellent make-up. Than for Warren Beatty.

Great viewing this weekend!

I saw Ruby Sparks already on advanced screening, I highly recommend it. I might rent The Watch, but Killer Joe, I don’t think I can handle such a movie.
