What are YOU Watching this Weekend?

I pose the above question because frankly not much is going on in the box office. We are entering a lull stage at the multiplex that starts at the end of the summer (the kids are readying for a return to school – if they are not there yet) and the serious season will begin in a few weeks. So what is a cinema-goer to do?

That said, looking at the list of weekend releases, there appears to be only one film of (slight) interest out in wide release …

Will you be seeing this? If not, what is in store for you?

No new films for me – it’s a busy weekend! But I am off on Sunday night to Somerset House in London to watch Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom under the stars. That should be fun.

Looking forward to Premium Rush myself. A couple of weeks until it’s out here.

Definitely NOT Premium Rush, I think home cinema is for me as we’re having guests over for dinner. Might try to catch Robot and Frank if it comes to the indie theater near me.

NORTH BY NORTHWEST is at a proper cinema here so tonight or tomorrow we’ll be trying to work that in to a packed weekend. PREMIUM RUSH looks pretty good, but we still haven’t seen EXPENDABLES. We may also get a chance to see something from the DVR…we have to, it’s almost at capacity 😉

NbNW sounds awesome! How was it? I saw it years ago at a film festival where we had a Q&A with Eva Marie Saint and Ernest Lehmann 🙂

It was really great, of course the cropduster scene was fabulous. We did have a Q & A with Eva Marie Saint & Ernest Lehmann however, how was THAT?

It was awesome and kind of surreal. To hear someone talk about the likes of Alfred Hitchcock and Cary Grant as contemporaries was a rarified treat.

I have A Separation and John Carter from Netflix so that’s what I’m going to watch. No interest in Premium Rush or any of last week’s release so yea…
