This Weekend …

Alas I feel like we are getting to that point in the cinematic calendar where moviegoers will have a choice of solid alternatives for their filmed entertainment. Well almost. It would appear this week that there is about a 50/50 split in terms of movies that have piqued my interest  – at least among the “top 4” options that are out there.

So what you will be watching?

I saw Sinister earlier this week – not bad actually. A much more decent horror film than I was expecting. Not quite hitting the heights of Cabin in the Woods though.

Going to have to wait a month or so until I get to see Argo or Seven Psychopaths 🙁 Really dying to see those!

I already caught ARGO on advanced screening, definitely worth a watch. Can’t believe Taken 2 is still winning box office, ugh!

I caught Sinister and Argo. Still debating on Seven Psychopaths. What did you see?

My goodness. I cannot even remember now. Honestly my movie going has screeched to a halt lately. I think I spent most of my time catching up on old episodes of Eastenders that have been sitting abandoned on my DVR for too long. Also, some TCM viewing – Lady by Choice with Carole Lombard, The Palm Beach Story (at least a bit of it) and The Third Man. I swear every time I see that film I pick up more and more details. A personal favorite of mine.

On Monday I rewatched Prometheus. I think that the film holds up in spite of the initial flaws everyone (including myself were so easy to pick up on). I now have to watch the special features (including the deleted scenes).
