The TIME 100: The World of Film Representin’ Again!

The 2013 TIME 100 List is out and again the world of cinema is represented quite well. While I may not agree with ALL of the selections, but they are worth the notice nonetheless; where appropriate, I labeled the category of where they were slotted, otherwise they were identified as Artists. Here are some of the honorees:

    Hi, iluv:

‘Time’ magazine is attempting to seek relevance again?

Steven Spielberg an “Icon”? Maybe twenty years ago. More of a “mogul” today.

Bryan Cranston. Superb character actor. Best comedic work was in ‘Malcolm in the Middle’. Not an ‘Icon’.

Lena Dunham?… Seriously? A complete fabrication of the liberal left media machine. With bad skin art.

Didn’t recognize more than a half dozen names overall.

Which may be why I gave up on ‘Time’ magazine back in the 1970s.

As you see I left commentary up to my readers. There were more than a few that left me scratching my head. You pointed out just a few of them.

And not to age you or me for that matter but in my defense I couldn’t even read in the 1970s

Ahah, I feel the same about Dunham as Jack. Ah well, this kind of list aren’t gonna please everyone. Nice to see DDL on there though.

True. Lists are funny things. Glad to see cinema as art recognized but this is also a business – the business of selling covers for a dying concern.

The photos are pretty nice, though 😉
