For me this weekend was really calm. I did not see anything that stood out apart from my TV surfing. I DID manage to start to watch the 1955 French classic Les Diaboliques; unfortunately the Sandman called and I obliged his request to get a little shut-eye … can’t wait to finish it!

I didn’t watch anything on the big screen, but I did see The Secret of Kells which was enchanting. Also rewatched Gladiator for Russell Crowe’s b’day 😀

Does the NCAA Final Four on CBS count? 🙂 In all seriousness, I watched Prometheus on HBO. Sadly, still disappointed after watching again. :/ I can say that it was as aesthetically pleasing as ever though.

Hi, iluv:
Caught ‘Spellbound’ and ‘Le Diaboliques’ on TCM. So, I have my revenge, suspense and mystery fixes in this week.
Also saw ‘Compulsion’ with Dean Stockwell, Bradford Dillman and Orson Welles last night. A neat B&W take on the 1920s Loeb/Leopold thrill kill case.
And I have a post about a 1990s Neo Noir over at le0pard’s that may interest you.
