What Will YOU Watch This Weekend?

Happy Friday everyone! Being as this is Easter weekend, the offering of films seems a bit thin. But I am sure The Hunger Games and other films released in previous weeks will still hold strong. Of this weekend’s contenders for the box office crown, the best shot may just be the 3D re-issue of Titanic.

But according to the predictions of Box Office Mojo it looks like American Reunion can give all the films out there a run for their money.

As for me, I would like to see Damsels in Distress but I think this will be a home viewing weekend for me.

How about you? Let me know what your weekend movie-going plans are (or are not) in the comments below.

Opening this Weekend …

Another weekend is upon us; the last weekend of March in fact. Time is surely flying by. We are quickly approaching that wonderful time of the year: BLOCKBUSTERS!

But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take a look at what is on offer in a cinema near you (possibly):

And the rest of the pack …

* Also opening today: the Norwegian feature, Turn Me On, Dammit! gets a wider cinematic release.

As for me, I will be catching a couple of films that ahead of the Tribeca Film Festival. I will also be working on my review for Mirror, Mirror, which I saw on Wednesday evening.

So what are YOU going to be watching this weekend?

Have a great one folks!

Weekend Viewing Options …

Happy Friday everyone! Among the weekend viewing options :

A few observations:

  • I have heard too many mixed reviews about John Carter and I still do not know what it is about, so I will likely give it a pass.
  • Friends With Kids looks like it has potential but after the setting expectations so high off the tails of Bridesmaids, nothing but unmet expectations can be on the horizon. May be a rental.
  • Does anyone actually watch Eddie Murphy films anymore?

In keeping with my theme of the past week, I think I will be finishing up and posting my Farewell, My Queen review and watching a few other French films that I have been meaning to catch up with.

So, now I turn it over to you; what are your viewing plans for the weekend? Going to see any of these films? Please comment below.
