OH the dogs days of summer …
So far this has been a relatively uneventful summer for me; hopefully in the waning four weeks that will all change.
TCM Summer Under the Stars. The month-long series in which each day brings us a marathon of some of classic Hollywood’s favorite stars.
I am looking most forward to:
8/2 – Myrna Loy
8/4 – Marilyn Monroe
8/25 – Tyrone Power
8/29 – Ingrid Bergman
Bryant Park Summer Film Festival. I am a bit late to the game, but the plan is to catch the tail end of these classics:
8/6 – The Adventure of Robin Hood
8/13 – All About Eve
Repertory Awesomeness. I know I keep banging on about the wonder of seeing classics in the cinema but I cannot help myself. This month BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) has outdone themselves. Instead of listing the titles that I am looking forward to seeing, I will just refer you directly to their site; frankly there are too many titles to dig into 🙂
Playing at the Local Multiplex … Beyond the remote possibility of seeing The Bourne Legacy, August looks like a pretty thin month, so I am not sure I will be venturing out.
That’s me done … what are you most looking forward to this summer? Share your thoughts below.

I love that photo of Bryant Park Summer Film Festival, sounds awesome! I’ve never seen a movie at a park, though just this past Monday, there was an announcement on NPR that Spellbound was playing at a local park. Man, how could I’ve missed that!!

I have only been to a concert at Bryant Park and Fashion Week when it was there!
