Awesomely Iconic Poster for the 65th Cannes Film Festival

Check out this lovely poster for the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival, featuring Marilyn Monroe blowing out the candle on what appears to be a coconut cake (yummy)!

This continues the long line of awesome Cannes festival posters that I have liked and/or collected, including:

For those of you (like me) who are likely to add this poster to your collection, it goes on sale early next month (April).

The Cannes Film Festival takes place from May 16-27th.

Great poster! It won’t be long until they release the names of the films in competition, which is when I start to get really excited!

Great poster! My current profile pic on Twitter is last year’s poster, but I think I might chance it to this one, I like it!

Yeah I have put this here, on my Tumblr account and on my iPhone! It replaced Michael Fassbender 🙂

Wow, these are really stunning. I always pay attention to the films they choose but had only seen a couple of the posters over the years. Thank you!

Nice poster. It looks like they are going to commemorate Marilyn Monroe’s life at the film festival. Kinda too bad My Week with Marilyn came out a year early lol

It does beg to be asked how they decide what the poster design will be for the current year.

Hey Scott – you should get one once they go on sale next month. I definitely think it is worth it, but then again I am OBSESSED with cinema-related posters 🙂
